Elizabeth Hittos, Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Gus Bilirakis (FL), delighted the audience with an overview of the U.S. presidents that was funny, lighthearted, but rich in fascinating facts.

Dr. Kevin Derby, Managing Editor of SOPHIA’s Journal of the American Presidency, discusses Fred Greenstein’s presidential leadership model as Conference Chair Dr. Brandy Robinson reviews the day’s itinerary.

Dr. Donovan McFarlane, Book Reviews Editor of SOPHIA’s Journal of the American Presidency, presents about what criteria ought to be used in ranking U.S. presidents.

Patrick N. Theros, who served in the U.S. Foreign Service for 36 years, including as U.S. Ambassador to Qatar, delivered the Keynote Address remotely, discussing how presidents utilize international diplomacy.

Feather Foster, an independent presidential scholar and acclaimed author, presented excerpts from her forthcoming book, The Colonial First Ladies.

Conference attendees enjoyed complimentary transportation to and from the venue and the Friday evening cocktail reception and Saturday evening dinner, courtesy of the SOPHIA Shuttle.
