Payment Method *

The annual membership fee is $50. Because SOPHIA is dependent upon paid memberships to properly function, membership fees are often immediately applied to operation costs and related expenses, and therefore are not refundable.
Members are entitled to the following benefits:

Full access to the annual SOPHIA Journal in digital format.
Depending on qualifications, the opportunity to contribute to the Journal as a writer and/or editor
Full access to comment on the SOPHIA website’s Monthly Topic, with opportunities to formulate future Monthly Topics (subject to selection)
Invitation to attend SOPHIA’s annual Conference, typically held on the Gulf Coast of Florida (separate fees apply)
The opportunity to be selected to present at SOPHIA’s annual Conference

SOPHIA will not publish or otherwise share members’ mailing addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, or credit card information with anyone. However, SOPHIA may publish members’ names, academic degrees earned, and affiliated educational institutions where members teach. SOPHIA will take reasonable measures to ensure that the SOPHIA website is protected from security breaches, although it will not be liable for such breaches (such as hacking) if they occur.
SOPHIA will take reasonable measures to ensure that members’ comments on the Monthly Topic or in any other instance where information is shared publicly (on the website, in the Journal, at Conferences, etc.) are professional, dignified, respectful, and not demeaning or defamatory, but SOPHIA is not liable to any member for any such comments.
